I have two questions,
first, Isn't this method similar to dictoinary attack ?? that's what i understand form the desriptions that i've read.
and secondly, can anyone give me a link/tutorial about making a rainbow table??

Rainbow tables are created by the famous Rainbow Crack, as well as several other similar applications.

The general premise is closer to brute force. Intead of generating all possible combos on the fly, they are all made ahead of time and stored in one large file. This allows you square the total number of attempts.
