Hey. So I was rrunning my "Protech" linux distro and I used the "Cisco-Exploiter" tool on a server and the first 2 out of 3 commands didnt work. And when I tried it again it was sucessfully exploited. This exploit was # 3 and it allows full exec, so full control over the server. However, after the exploit is done I kinda just don't know what to do. I can't just access the server. Any help?

I didnt have to install it. It is part of the ProTech bootdisk. Pretty much backtrack just different.

google gave me:

Cisco Exploiter (http://www.sikurezza.org/ml/04_04/msg00199.html) - Cisco Global Exploiter is an advanced, simple and fast security testing tool

src: http://www.vmware.com/appliances/directory/122

try that website and look for documentation

Well I would agree not to trust it seems like a bit of an odd tool, but also read the links posted in reply above, and if you still wish to use it go ahead. And maybe let us all know how it goes.

So it is for testing. I guess that makes sense. So at least I know I can exploit the server via this method. So now I need to learn how. If any of you strike a pon anything groundbraking or helpful please share.

kk, still sounds a lil dangerous since the Cisco i know, is almost impossible to exploit

You should know better than to make statements like that. Especially when it's apparent that you have done no research.

Here's a start for the vague:

http://www.google.com/search?q=Cisco+exploit&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

And for those who need an idol: Michael Lynn. Find his presentation from BlackHat and be in awe.

This "tool" Will tell you where the exploit is. It is up to you to determine how to exploit it or patch it. It's not magic, It will not log you in or overtake the server ... It's a vulnerablity scanner.

Cheers korg for clearing that up for everyone.

I might have a little look in to this tool.

Thanks guys. And I do recommend this boot disk. You can also install it. Identical to backtrack just different layouts and everything is done by using the right click of the mouse.
Its call ProTech. Heres a link:
http://www.techm4sters.org/downloads.html

All right well after talking to a good friend of mine she helped me notice that the server I planned on hacking is a bad idea. I knew it from the start becausue no one should really hack their school.. The place they go to learn... Or should they?
Im leaning on a hell no from you guys. Ha.
