Whenever I tell firefox to remember the password for my router (it's a htaccess login), it works fine until I reboot the router. When I reboot it, it just asks me for the password again, despite the fact that I have told it to remember it at least 50 times.

I have tried clearing the cache and saved passwords list to no avail. Why is firefox acting so stupidly? (unless it's some "security" measure)
