yea a port scanner sounds pretty cool. but throw in some twist. a basic full connect TCP portscnner can be written by just about any one in PERL in like 2 mins. Wink

maybe a twist could be support for UDP as well as TCP, or binding to a local port in an attempt to bypass stateless firewalls/routers?

i've just uploaded it.

the twist is -> you have to program aditional functions. These functions can be of your choice, but the more complex the greater chance you will win.

well i personally like Perl (but nit some lame scanner like i wrote about earlier!) and C. if i can get a late night coding session going, i'll probably do it in C and make it a SYN stealth style scanner. if i can't i'll do it in Perl. btw, if you need a mod for this challenge, i'd be happy to do Perl Wink

ok i was thinking if someone could make a dictionary in c++ which would make a possibility and store in notepad and keep looping and adding a value to make the ultimate dictionary/ so that could be decent for a programming challenge or if not PM me cuz i want to possibly try so if somebody could try and help me out a little that would be great thanks

What do you mean by a dictionary in C++? Do you mean a program to make all possible combinations of "words" given a character set?
