hackinthebox.org (I think its dot org) linuxquestions.org has some tutorials on security annnnnnnnnd antionline.com(Once again not sure about the extension)

hit up the man page for iptables to learn about iptables, the native linux firewall. Also, read up on TCP Wrappers. You should also get chkrootkit from http://www.chkroo. . . and rkhunter (can't remember the site, just google for it). Chkrootkit and rkhunter are kinda like AV for *nix.

There are many resources for this on the web. Google is the best place to turn.
