Ok, well...recently i tried to update my version of Limewire 4.16.4 to Limewire 4.16.6 because i figured it'd run faster. Well...i was wrong. In fact, it won't even boot up now and i'm f*cking pissed. I have over 3,000 songs on there and i listen to music religiously. The problem is that after i double-click it to run, after about 10 seconds, i get a prompt explaining that LImewire is unable to start due to loopback connections to a local machine or a firewall is blocking my internet access. I have tried lowering and even disabling my firewalls but still no luck. also, i have tried system restore but it says i don't have a proper restore point to go back to. Maybe you guys have had a similar problem or know what i should do. Hopefully you do and if so, please explain. I would greatly appreciate it and i would make it up to you somehow.

Thatnks in advance,
COD3

Well you could try uninstalling it then reinstalling it. Also if all you really care about it your songs, and if your limewire is anything like mine which I'm assuming it is lol, there is a folder that you can just open up that has all your limewire downloads in it and just listen to the songs from there.

If neither of those above help then sorry I can't be of any more help.

If you haven't changed the location to store your songs in then they are located in C:\Documents and Settings\{name}\Shared\

Copy all of the songs from there then uninstall then install.

all you have to do for your songs is make a new folder, highlight them(or ctrl+a or whatever), drag and drop them lol. only thing is if you were sharing you wont be anymore. but this way your songs will remain there no matter what you do with limewire

yeah you wouldn't use limewire to listen to the songs anymore, have to use windows media or some other player, but I was just saying this is a way for him to listen them since his limewire didn't work.
