the laptops will be for personal use and wont hae shared use if you dont want them to.

bringing a laptop will just allow you to follow the few lessons/talks easier and particiate in computer events we'll have running.

we still need more members turning up though.

only 8 people so far are willing to come, and saying that its not guarenteed everyone of those 8 members will turn up.

Im willing to do this event providing theres a minimum of 10 members who are guareenteed to turn up. I've given this event more thought and it really will be a good trip. Everyone who comes will learn something new, and ofcourse you'll get to meet several other HBH members and even a couple admins.

so, try persuading a few more members in your area to travel down with you etc.

More members in my area? Don't make me laugh, cheese.

Given the chance that I'm wrong, any other hbh members in Dorset?

I'm 20, and seriously thinking about coming there...
but i don't want to travel alone... i will travel from Antwerp, so if there are peepz (you dutchmen Wink) that come via antwerp or smth i'd defenately come.
uhm, I have a laptop to bring with me, but it will be for personal us only (soz, but it's holy^^)
@ system meltdown, since i'm from belgium, what if I brough you some stella? Wink
skill? i'm a noob, seriously, i need to learn ^^
what i want to learn: uhr, practicly everything i can ... don't care
what i want to do: meet you geeks, do beerdrinking contests, share experiences...
let me know if there is anybody traveling via/from belgium...
vincentvandingenen@hotmail.com
anything else?
i'll post it lateron than Smile
ow yeah, when?: uhm, i'll make time for it!

As much as i apprecaite the gesture of you travelling all the way from belguim. however you do understand that this is focused on being a social event. Socialising / drinking / talking / urban defacing = 70%
lectures / lessons / demonstrations = 30%.

Given your skill level im sure you'll learn alot and you will have a great time and experiance, it would be great if you did come however just understand the cost of the trip, just to spend 2 days in the UK.

Also, would language be a problem?

it would be better if we had an idea of how it works, what 2 whole days? what would BnB costs be? And about general spending nohtin worse than going on a trip with loaded people and not being able to afford anything. where is brighton exactly lolGrin

How much we would need for a decent night,

Grin

as you can see its mainly money related stuff lol. But I think that'd be the main consern for others too.

I'll see I I can get there. The only thing I need to know for certain is when Pfft I always have a pretty busy summer Wink

And I may convince 3 fellow belgian hbh members to come as well.

Btw, why don't make videos of the lessons and of other parts of the event? This could encourage people to join next time Wink

ok, i have updated the first post. please take the time to read it and go over the new details.

I have also breifly arrange a couple people aswell as myself to give lessons and talks on various subjects. There should be quite a bit of knowledge going around Smile

Lectures/Talks/Lessons range from Basics - Advanced. So there will be something for everyone.

If your comming from abroad, make sure you can understand spoken english really well. (because us english men have really crap strong accents).
