I have no idea what to do. Somewhere somebody hinted misplaced directory. What does that mean? Please help. Thanks.

It means that whoever made the page 'accidentally' labeled the folder that the site looks for the password in incorrectly. It also means that it was a human error, meaning that it's probably something small and easy to miss. If .htpasswd.php isn't found in 'basic4/', then... It's actually a lot easier than you think. Hope this helps. I tried not to give too much away, and I don't think that I did, but if someone else does feel free to say something.
