That was 1988, this is 20 years later.
Also, the idea that the internet can never be crashed has nothing to do with the integrity of the software on the computer, as morris exploited in the sendmail bug you mentioned. The internet depends on the networking model, which is oftentimes, a physical layer.
Want to destroy the internet?
Physically destroy every single computer in the world, along with every single scrap of cabling. |

TO distroy the internet as the average user stands all u have to do is knok out the DNS servers most ppl dont even understand the simple concept of a ip address.

The internet can be taken down. Lets be real. I agree that it would be extremley hard... way over my head. But Im sure it can be done. It is just a huge glob of networks... so really, if you can take down a network, you can take down the net. Plus, no power, no net. Remember New York?

Yeah, about 2000 networks(made that statstic up) are made a day, a backbone ddos attack, crashes the servers that look after domain names.

Lol, it can come down man. It has to be powered. There is no other option. Unless of course, they somehow made it all solar powered. The chances are slim.. but it isnt impossible.
