Get any windows XP password

Arrow Image When you have admin access...this method will allow you to reveal the login password of any account on the machine including the administrator password...without changing it. Interested? Read on

This is my first article...but bear with me!! This is an ingenius method I read up on to obtain any windows XP password(Not sure about other OS\'s yet) using a program you\'re probably all familiar with.

This article is for information use only, and I am not responsible for how you use this information once reading it.

I may be a n00b myself, however this method put me up the ranks abit as you are able to see the actual encrypted password without changing any settings at all, and it only takes a matter of minutes, no matter how complex the password!!

How you ask? Simple. First, you need the latest version of SamInside. Since I\'m so nice, here is the link to download:

I\'m sure most of you use this program for this very purpose, but for those of you who don\'t know this programs on! :D

1. Assuming you have administrator priviledges, open up SamInside.

2. Click \"File\" then \"Import local users using LSASS\".

3. You will now have a list of Users, along with a bunch of other characters in each adjacent column. For a screenshot, visit this link:

4. Go to \"File\" then \"Export users in PWDUMP file...\"

5. It\'ll bring up a save prompt. Enter in whatever you want, and save it as a .txt file on your desktop(or where ever you want)

6. Essentially what you just did is copy the login name, along with the LM Hash into a text file. The next step is to enter the LM Hash into an algorhythm to obtain the password. The best one I know of is located at this link:

7. Open the text file you just created. Look for the line with the account you wish to get the password for, and highlight the ENTIRE line(The last 3 characters should be \":::\". Once you have the line copied, go to the above link. It should look like the below link:

8. Click \"Add Hashes\" on the left hand side.

9. In the \"Enter A Hash\" text box, paste the line you copied from the text file.

10. Under \"Choose An Algorhythm\" select \"lm\".

11. Enter the security code in the box shown and press send. If you get an error about the hash not being entered correctly, you\'ll need to go back and make sure you highlighted the entire line in the text file. (refer to screenshot)

12. You should be redirected to the hash section within a few seconds. You will see the progress bar beside your hash, as well as the password section. It should say \"Cracking | Cracking\" at this point. All you need to do is keep refreshing the page, and eventually it will say \"Cracked | Cracked\". At that point, you will see the password for the account displayed.

13. Voila! You now have the windows password and can view anything on their account. Pat yourself on the back!!

If you liked this article, please comment on it. Thanks for viewing my first ever article!

Hm...this looks like something out of this one: or: or: Or: why does hbh keep accepting these articles, it's redundant and hardly anything changes!

I agree with nights_shadow. I would also like to add that this article is not very useful compared to the others. I determined this at the following line:
1. Assuming you have administrator priviledges
If you have administrator privileges, you have the ability to do what ever you want with other accounts... this isn't hacking anything. It is like showing people how to get "/etc/passwd" as root. This article just explains how to use a program and a website (information widely available on the internet). I suggest that next time you check if the topic is already covered here and that you explain what is happening behind the scenes rather than just giving instructions. For instance, you could have explained the lm algorithm, how SamInside works, and how cracks lm hashes. P.S. I didn't mean to be *******, but I think that I gave you good advice for you next article.
koolkeith12345on February 27 2007 - 22:42:05 much easier way but most likely ul be trying 2 get the pass so u get on the admin account please instead of adding an article which is not useful in an attempt to get a couple of more points why dont u jus wait till you think up an idea for a decent article its wot im doing

Thanks for the feedback...even though you harsh shot my article out of the water. The reason I posted it to begin so you're able to obtain a password without changing it, or the owner of the computer knowing at all. I personally found it quite useful...if you didn't then to each their own. Sorry you didn't find it useful. The next article, I'll try and meet your high expectations. -StInG-

Hey, you tried anyway. Don't mope because of this, just make another article and try to explain things a little more next time. I'm sure you get what I mean Wink Good luck!

@sting67, same with all the other articles i posted in the first comment. The reason i posted it is because admins will accept anything. They need to filter a at least a LITTLE bit. I could write an article and the name could be "How to h4ck coldfusion" and actually write an article about peeling an orange and i be they'd accept it...
Uber0non March 01 2007 - 10:47:33
@nights_shadow: Well, it'd be cool if you actually submitted that h4ck/orange article just to see if it got through lol Pfft
shaddowon March 06 2007 - 22:24:20
Excellent article...5/5
nights_shadowon March 08 2007 - 22:09:10
it didn't get through, damn! Sad

Pretty good if you just wanna poke around on other admins or users stuff, but as mentioned one of the main problems is getting admin privaleges in the first place.

This article is a good intro to SAMInside. I like it because it's convenient. I agree that there could have been more detail but there have been far worse articles and this one was written well enough. Rating it as awesome might be overly generous but I think rating it poor is a bit harsh. Good article. Hope the next one's even better.Smile
