Hacking is not necessarily an illegal hobby, a common misconception. There are many legitimate uses for the hacking abilities such as finding vulnerabilities in your or a friends site so that no malicious hackers hack you. You are making the same mistake that the U.S. government makes (and, I assume, many others) that capacity equals intent. I have the knowledge to wipe a system, but why would I want to? I have no reason and no intent on even considering the possibility. HBH has done nothing but spread knowledge. If you do not want to spread knowledge, then you do not deserve to do anything; for knowledge is the building blocks of human existence. The nature of technology is that people utilize it, then others hack it, find a different way to use it, and then a new technology is born.

This is the way of the beast we call Technology.

And you have the gall to say that we do not deserve the chance to legally test our skills, then you are inviting nothing but illegal hacking. Why? Because people will hack, call it something else, abolish the Internet, w/e, people will still find new ways to accomplish new things, and there is nothing you can do about it. So go ahead, pull our safe haven from the net, but feel the weight on your shoulders when other hackings increase and our active members can't find anything legal to do once you also target HTS or H2H. Allow us information, allow us recreation, allow us knowledge.

Capacity does not equal intent, we are our morals. A few rotten cabbages should not cause the whole harvest to be thrown out. We do things legally, and you punish us for it, you people think that your thinking is superior, but it is not, nor is it inferior; it is different. And we should live with our differences, but be a person who can see both sides of an issue, be open minded, see why we use HBH. See why we hack. It only benefits you in the end.

HBH has a similar function for hackers as most of the better martial arts school has to fighting. Fighting is like hacking, a tool that can good or ill depending on who is using it. The better martial arts school teach not only teach fighting skills and tools for handling yourself in various situations, but also ethical values for when and where it is appropiate to use your knowledge. In other words, martial arts schools that deserve the name channel peoples tendency towards violence to a positive end. I've known many people who have put to good use the skills learns from martial arts kwoon or dojo.

HBH works on the same principle. It successfully channels the innate curiosity that drives hackers and finds a positive outlet for them by setting up challenges for them do without hurting anyone, instilling positive ethical values and having a community to fall back on for support.

Hackers will exist as long as technology exists, just as people will fight for as long a humans exists in a society. The question is whether you want people to find destructive ends for their abilities as they are likely to do without support, or channel their abilities to do something positive? HBH tries to accomplish the latter, but by attempting to blacklist the group, you end up inadvertently causing the former to happen.
