I've started randomly getting "MEMORY_MANAGEMENT" Blue Screen in Vista, and can't boot. When I ran the Startup Repair I got the error "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NO[N]PAGE_AREA", which was again in a blue screen.

I haven't installed any new programs or changed any hardware.

Does anyone know anything that could be causing it, or any ways to fix it?
Changing OS is unfortunately not an option.

When you try to start your computer, is possible that the operation fails and one of the following error messages will showed:

STOP 0x0000001a (0x00041284, 0xca9a2000, 0x000077e0, 0xc0c00000) MEMORY_MANAGEMENT

A little boy asks his father, "Daddy, how much does it cost to get married?" His father replies, "I don't know, son. I'M STILL PAYING FOR IT!"

"It's just too hot to wear clothes today," said Bill as he stepped out of the shower. "Honey, what do you think the neighbors would think if I mowed the lawn like this?" "Probably that I married you for your money," she replied.

I'm sure you use a much cooler OS just to compensate for your pathetic spelling.

OP: Have you tried running a repair from the Vista disc? Also, are you sure your RAM sticks work well? Try removing them and putting them back.

Seeing as how you can't always tell whether a stick of RAM is damaged just by looking at it, you could also use Memtest86+ to verify that it truly is a RAM issue.

I would first use a program like malwarebytes to scan the computer, make sure to DL to my usb then quickly install and restart the computer in safe mode with networking. I would clean the system then I would also run the system diognostics and run a complete test.

I have seen in many cases where a virus can fake the blue screen. It could also access memory causing the blue screen...

Thanks guys. It was the RAM. I've taken it out and I'll get some more sometime soon.

Thanks a lot for all the help.

by "use" do you mean you installed it, only use it for web browsing/media, and force the forum members to watch you go through the confusion of puberty? I use vista/xp lite, if i didn't want either, then i wouldn't keep them

@ op:
glad you figured out what was going wrong. In the future you may want to have something like the UBCD around, just in case. http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/index.html
