I think the idea of a warning system is the best way to settle the forum viewing/posting issue. Like ... said info should be available to anyone.
What i would like to see is more detail in the challenges, telling you exactly what you need to do and more of them (obviously, but ive only just started to tackle them).
All of what was said about the rankings, i mean the amount that have 0 points is unbelievable. Also something else to work for instead of just thinking "wh-hey I have 20 points"
and those little colums on the left showing newest and hottest threads, maybe you could put threads you posted there so you cn get back to any replies you got quickly

yeah, we are having that on nearly all types of challenges. It will be a small popup help file, telling you the skills requried/what to learn, in order to complete the challenge

as stated above, we are including a Auto responce system, where any reply to a thread you started + a article you wrote, etc.. then it will send you a PM with the details.

sounds like an idea lol and that popup help idea is a really good one
EDIT: add a friends list thing so people can keep track of people and such dunno if this has already been said but hell if im reading through all thoose posts

okay some of you might not know this already know this but i decided to take that job already. i have about 5-6 n00bs im me and i walk them through some basics. so just send them my way. if they are hacking for the wrong reason(yes there is a wrong reason) then i dont bother with them

its exactly the same system, except just a redesign of the site.
it uses the same database structure, so we keep the current database.. which means all points / PM's / forum posts / users, are kept the same

I think there should be in interactive tut. for different things such as langauges are programming. its the perfect teacher for things that are hard to explain.i was suprised that not many people picked that over the rest on the resent polls for the new site

I for one am getting annoid with theese silly noobs joining the site maybe HBH could have a small test before people join to confirm wether there a noob or not like a simple challenge and a few yes and no questions, if there noobness is to high they cant join
