I think that many people would find it useful to be able to delete or edit their old shouts.

I don't know what other users think so please comment

Um i think it could sort of be a good idea.
Good points:-
Edit typo's
Add something to message

Bad points:-
If someone wants to keep shoutbox archive as proof of someone saying something the point wont be valid as it could be edited.
shoutbox archives which are handy are useless because some things when referred back to may have been changed.

no need to re-invent the wheel..

Yer, but all you would need is a history tool for admins etc.

You also missed the main big advantage. Deleting of double shouts!!!

As i'm aware - admins can edit and delete all posts etc. Just think that now with the new appointment of admins, the forum mod should have the job of deleting double posts etc.
