Im pretty pissed off right now. I just spent the last 20 mins installing and upgrading Zone Alarm...
did i just make the biggest mistake of my life?
while zone alarm is running it wont let me log in to HBH. and it doesnt say zone alarm is doing it, it just displays "MALFORMED REQUEST" in obnoxiously large text. Is zone alarm doing this by accident or on purpose?
and more importantly can it be fixed... if not its garbage and i recommend it as much as a recommend unlocking the secret mode in your mother board by rubbing a magnet on it.
(^ dont do that btw)

i've had this too mine was not ZONE ALARM i have zone alarm it was just something under DISABLE in my web developer woudln't send refferers even when i had WEB developer uninstalled it would still do that so if it still hapesn try getting the web developer tool from http://www.addons.mozilla.org/firefox/60/ <-- there i mean it could be that your ZONE ALARM is blocking it it is is likely b.c zone alarm is pretty anal about anything i like it but still it has to stop every little thing and ask. WELL take my advice if you do'nt know but if you know it's ZONE ALARM idk, oh and i heard firefox sometime glitches try reinstalling that might help
hope i helped :-)

C:\PROGRA~1\mozilla\firefox\DLLS or w.e and check them off on the ocmponents but it prolly won't work and it's time consuming so i ahve no idea.. sry man did you buy this b.c if not just go to
www.azureus.sourceforge.net
and download that then go to either
WWW.torrentspy.com
www.torrent-finder.com that's a better one it searchs all torrent sites.
and search like norton 2007 suite or something and yo ucan get all of them for free as in i can't remember wat it's called may take a bit but if you run into problems i'm happy to help :-D

imask8erhack your sig is annoyingly large, do you mind resizing it?
I personally don't like Zone alarm. For the time being I use Sygate.

I personally hate zone alarm, Many people have problems with it blocking them, Easy enough though, Open zone alarm to privacy>sites and either edit or manually add HBH to it's list and save. Should work fine.
Go ahead bitch about the size of my sig.

I had similar problems on a new site when I updated to the latest Zone Alarm It totally blocked my access to the chat room there, even though I added the site and the IRC server to my Trusted zone and granted access.
It totally pissed me off as I tried everything to sort it out but couldn't so I have now switched to Comodo Firewall.
http://personalfirewall.comodo.com/
So far I haven't had any problems with it though am running a series of penetration tests on a test machine. |

zone alarm's great, esp if you get a crack (or buy :S) for pro. It's really easy to use. I used to have this problem, but it is easy to solve, zone alarm can be totally customised to make everything work

Best site for torrents is www.torrentscan.com , you can check a lot a torrent sites with it
Now back to the topic,
First, check if you have any FF extenions that blocks referrers.
Second, ZoneAlarm isn't that bad in my opinion but it need some configging
To make HBH work:
1. Open ZoneAlarm Control Center
2. Go to the Privacy tab
3. Go to the Site List tab
4. Add the urls hellboundhackers.org and hellboundsecurity.org
5. Enable everything (at least the Private Header)
Another possibility could be disabling everything under Privacy->Main though I don't think this would make much difference.
I have the latest version of ZoneAlarm 7 installed on my pc and I have no problems viewing HBH or any other site.
I hope this helps

The_Cell explained above how to get zone alarm's settings to allow HBH.
I just wanted to post a few other things i found out (sorry to be waking up an old thread.)
upon restarting my computer after installing zone alarm i found that everytime my machine started it instantly turned off as soon as i logged on.
the reason for this: Zone alarm had given me a stop error.
Since zone alarm started when the computer started... it just turned on and off over and over again.
After looking around i noticed alot of people had gotten the same stop error from Zone alarm.
i fixed it by booting in safe mode and uninstalling zone alarm completely.

It's called exaggeration.
Anyway, I prefer BitDefender. It's outstanding (and the #1) internet security, virus protection, and all around security suite there is on the market. It's fairly cheap (I'm pretty sure), and definitely worth the money.
It even blocked some port scanning attempts.

I'm a little more known over at HackThisSite (my profile). (If it says "Bad Referer", click on the URL bar and press enter.)
