I am looking for mentor to teach me just using Linux.... basic operations and some more advanced features if mentor have time.... i am running kubuntu 7

id say just get a live cd and mess around with it 
plus then you'd get experience instead of just reading about how to use it.

I got most of my information from websites and magazines such as Linux Format, so there's no need for you to ask for a mentor.
I'm a Linux fan now, and I'm thinking of switching to Gentoo as soon as I have some free time.
Look for a book called Linux Phrasebook written by Scott Granneman if you want more info on Linux commands.
