I don't see much point on spending time chatting up a bot. The point of social engineering is to sweet talk another person into giving you their password, It just doesn't seem cool.
If anyone has anything nasty to say, PM me, so you I know you're not playing to the crowd
So, what d you think of these challenges? Learn anything? Or did you complete them only for points...
I think anything like this should be done in real life, and to provide proof f it somewhow, which can then be checked by an admin.
*shrugs*

many people seem to have a general hatred of SE but i say fuck that . Path of least resistance. SE might get you a password in a short amount of time that is otherwise ungettable or would take massive amounts of time to hack out of a database of a site where its kept. YAY for SE i dont care if peope think "it doesnt seem cool" p.s cant play to crowd if im the first to post. |

You can if your starting the game for them to join in and lay
and Yeah I agree that it's not really a great challenge for realism or anything, but the site aims to do things more.. legitimately.. and therefore doing it your way may give a bad image. Considering the site is becoming more public-freindly.. with the schools idea and stuff, it wouldn't be to great for the image.
But SE isn't really something you can realism from for a challenge anyway.. right?

i think that they have been helpful but i also think that to be truely effective maybe it should be done in a real world environment but i suppose that it given the resource constraints that may be hard to acheive. |
