I think a neat idea would be to have an extra forum, called local communities or something, and in that forum, have different threads for different regions/states/provinces/etc, that would allow people to talk to HBH members close to them, and discuss local events, etc.

i second that idea. i've tried to organize local stuff before and its just too hard to find people.
