Then what's the problem with it? It's not me, I input the characters into it, no new cookies, no changes to the source.

It's making me want to punch a baby.

most decryptors don't work because they're based on ASCII, while the one at yellowpipe.com is based on Unicode. Also, the first character isn't a Ý (Y with an acute accent), it's actually an undefined unicode character, which doesn't show up most of the time. in the end, i had to manually input the first character into the password field then paste the rest after it.

try putting it in anyway even though it doesn't make sense. and then check your cookie again.

Just completed Javascblockedript 8. It makes no sense to me.
Who would keep such a gibberish password which would require a special keyboard to type in ? :p

Also it doesn't work properly in FF always. (maybe for a few people it works, I am using FF 3.5.5 and its not working). I had to use IE.

It's only stupid when you do it stupid. It works fine in firefox and IE. You have to do it in the correct order. I just check it multiple times in both browsers.

i didn't mean to say it was a stupid challenge sorry about that i just lacked a better descblockedription for it. But i tried it about ten times in FF, and i had a pretty good idea of what needed to be done, and it didn't work. but the first time i tried in the IE engine it worked perfect. i just don't know why.

I think the big picture of the javascblockedript challenges is to show you that any sort of client-side verification (of anything, really) can be skirted.

Personally, I've only heard stories of this, but of sites that used javascblockedript to hold important values, leading to disaster for anyone capable of looking at the source. That's the main idea of all these.

I have read the threads on this (there are lots) and i still dont get it.

basically I got the first bit, done the first bit, noted that the start of it is deceiving, got the next "new" bit from the next page and entered that in with %....all i end up getting is http://www.hellboundhackers.org/challenges/js/js8/c****.php with a blank table.... i have tried IE8, chrome, firefox.

not sure what i am doing wrong
