This idea has been batted around a few of the otehr threads for a while. The idea is to create a board in the hbh forums that can only be posted in by users with a certian amount of points eg. 2000, 2500 or 3000. This would hopefully produce a good standard of material in the forum.
Some might argue that HBH points are no real indicater of hacking ability, so another idea could be an invite only board. Members who have displayed there abilty around the site would be able to post.
of course this board could be viewed by all. If the board is created to produce superia material theres no reasons why everyone shouldnt be able to learn from it.
comments / suggestions / improvements /debate.

i know a "certain site" where you can apply,to get into a restriced
area of the forum,which contains 0day's 
and proof of concepts and stuff...
you can't just judge people by points,that's right.
a guy that sucks at webhacking,
can be skilled in coding whatever?or can be a true ip/tcp exploiter?

my idea is its got to be exclusive enough to produce good content, but have enough members allowed to post to keep it active and worth reading. Striking the balence will be one of the aims of this thread

because, if it did it would limit the articulate and helpful posting in other "non vip" forums. if you want a forum where theres only a limited number of people all with good experiance. then purchase EM and make that forum active.

oooooo I hate that idea sooooo much. I don't think this site is so point orintated, higher points dont nessesarily mean better person. Especially invite only it would become so elitist.

I just want to point how fast the opinions change once Mr_Cheese posted. It was "Great Idea" followed by "Great Idea" and the he posted that it wouldn't happen, the posts after were "definitely a bad idea" and "I don't like it". Yes, I know these are not the exact quotes, but I am expressing a general theme in the posts.
By the way, I don't think it is a good idea... but just because I wouldn't be invited

I have to say that I'm pretty well undecided on it. I agree that an invite-only forum would potentially keep the material from getting into the hands of scblockedript kiddies or leeches but, at the same time, I think it's kinda wrong to limit information, regardless. Instead of a invite-only forum, why not just do an invite-only IRC and maintain the logs, or set up your own forum?

Edit: Okay, just re-read your post. I personally wouldn't have any problem with that type of forum, as that would control (to a certain extent) the quality of the content, while also allowing for the widespread consumption of the information. So... yeah, I'm cool with that.

Why not have an invite only forum with lots of sub-forums that have "Professional opinions", or even make respected users more noticeable. That way, you're not blocking out the great content that can come from people who may not know much about many area's of hacking, but have a very in-depth knowledge of something useful .
I'm against having only respected users posting in the forums, though.

Why have an invite-only forum if you're going to have a subforum for "Professional Opinions"?
It wouldn't be just "respected users" posting in the forums in general... it would be "respected users" posting in certain forum topics that would be available for everyone to read. By limiting the level of member that is able to post, you don't get these stupid double / triple posts or the short "yeah, I agree" or "ur a noob" posts.
As an effort to increase the quality of the information, I think it's worth a try.

I'd rather see it point capped. The I'd work harder to get some more points too I've not been long on this forum, but have you seen any "noob-posts" from 3k+ point members? |

Forgot to add something. No matter if it is invite-restricted or point-capped, I think the forum should be readable by all members (and guests maybe). That way we could have a forum clean from spam and with good answers to most questions, but it would be open to all to read (and learn from). |

ok i like it. But would it be a point limit or just the people, that mr.cheese and the admin's knew that were skillled, and would it be just the people that could post could read. I think it should be only the skilled people can post and everyone can read. idk if that's what you guys are sayin but i couldn't tell
