How do i create my own email server for free? is there anyway to do this using my own PC? I want to set up an email server for a business I am starting.

I understand that I have to have a domain name and hosting but how would I set up my own email server if II have a host and a domain?

theres a few programs that can do it.

theres Free SMTP Server .. which is free IF you send under 10 emails a day.

if you googled for your question, you would find plenty results and downloads. Most you have to pay for though.

For Linux I would suggest Postfix or Qmail (avoid Sendmail), for Windows Free SMTP Server or 1st SMTP Server.

I've tried installing a SMTP-server but it hasn't worked. I believe my ISP is blocking mail servers as default. :@
