The theme manager, or just the bootup and shutdown(like startup in windows, where you get the loading bar, and shutdown where you get the "logging off, saving settings, shutting down" message.) would all use loading screens like that.

ah ok, i've only used Back|Track (the mainly used distro for me) and ubuntu a few time, and i didnt notice load screens on either.
but like i said, its a nice pic.

Ubuntu has one, the little messagebox-sized window that appears while it is loading GNOME.

backtrack has a splash screen and the boot screen appears if u change initrd from 3 to 4 (graphical boot instead of text)

if its too late, oh well, but here is my wallpaper effort. this one has a tech/gaming theme but i could take the gaming bit out (however, i accidentally deleted the .xcf which is a massive bummer)

i was kinda "in the mood" so i tried a logo. in my view, simple logos are the best. anyway, this one REALLY doesnt fit with my wallpaper, but oh well.

necr0six, you deseve to win man, i mean, i'd love to have the wallpaper, but tbh i think your quite a bit more advanced.
i love your style, the wallpapers a cloud effect, brushing/pattern work then some nice lighting yeah? well looks great.
i also love your logo... looks like im fucked
i think we should have another thread to vote for the final logo and wallpaper, not yet, but in a few days.
