he was atleast having a go and it looked ok in my opinion.
I think constructive criticism is good but just saying its shit is not helpful.
Maybe he should say what is "shit" about it and what would make it look better

He said what (he thought) was wrong with it, it wasn't original. Plus, the image was 'just' text-->patchwork and then a reflection of it.

im not debating whether its good or not but i think he should maybe have been a bit more polite than just saying its shit.
Flamming people for just having a go its going to put off some people from submitting there own work. Maybe more time should have been put into it but its better than nothing

It doesn't have to be like every other grunge design to look good.

Nope it is not dead, im waiting for the 2.6.22 kernel version to be released.
Then ill post the first iso somewhere, is question of weeks
I already have a iso with 2.6.21.5 kernel version and im playing with the e17 window manager. We need to customize it, edje pictures and animations, so we need to know it. But atm im the only one doing the work so it will take more time.
