Now i defiantly wasn't complaining when i got mine... but a little voice in my head defiantly said
"its to soon"...
Now i'm not sure if the points>>rank function has been updated with the addition of all these new challenges.... but i bet it hasn't...
If you consider the few hundred points needed between rank up, and how after God, you still need a good couple Thousand points to make the 5000 needed for personal rank... and even thats only avalible for EM's...
I'm not Saying Add more ranks above God...(Except maybe Satan)
But i defiantly feel there needs to be a few more filler ranks inbetween...
Let a person reach the rank of God at more like 4000-4500 points...

First off, placing 'satan' on a higher level than 'God' is likely to offend some people (not me, but I've seen the effect religion has on people. Creates a lot of disputes).

Secondly, and most importantly, why the hell do you care? Do you think that putting your hbh rank on your resume will somehow be less effective now since it's easier to obtain than it was when there were fewer challenges? (hint: no, nobody cares. You wont get hired based off your hbh rank, so if I just gave you the idea, dont try it)
EDIT: I changed my mind, do try putting your rank on your resume, it'll be funny.

I would like to talk a min about the ranking system and challenges in general.
First off, your rank in no way determines the abilities you have as a hacker. It is however a seperation of people, in which to rank up, you must complete answers to distinguish the time you spent on the site.
Secondly, as one of the few people on the site that has completed all of the challenges other then a few of the others, find them to only help if you want them too. Trying to first understand what they are asking then actually taking the time to read about different topics may enlighten you on a few things that you might not have known about before. Some however are off the wall and so unrealistic that you would never figure it entirely out without some sort of directional push. Now dont get me wrong, I love the challenges, they are interesting puzzles that are fun to solve, but they dont make me a better hacker or computer savvy then others on this site.
Also I would like to clarify something that was stated... I was able to edit my rank before 5000pts while I was an EM. So Im not entirely sure where that came from.. (unless it was a combination of points / forum posts)
Either way the ranking system doesnt mean a whole hell of a lot, I completed the challenges because I enjoyed them. They gave me something to read about. Pushed me into a focal area to research. My knowledge has greatly expanded by spending time working with the challenges. That is what they are for, not your 'god' rank, nor anyother rank. Do it for you, and not for others.

I can't help but feel like this whole discussion has come up before... when God rank first spread through the community like wildfire. I was there when it happened, and I have the same opinion now as I did then: Who cares? I've known Elites that knew much more than "God" ranks... but, the main thing to realize here is that there's no reason to infer a gauging of your ability from a higher rank than another. I'm sure stdio said this in a different way... but, I just said it that way. Oh, well.

That's a good point... the challenges should teach a set of principles so that we can advance in our "hacking" knowledge, not repeat the same old "check source, inject, find the hidden meaning, or it's just off-the-wall" formula. This is the only interesting part of this whole thread to me.
That being said... feel free to PM me with what sort of challenges you feel would be useful.

Hey zeph, since you brought up challenges, you should talk to Root_op about mine, considering you are an admin now.
Debugging is what programmers do to beta software to make it take up more room on your hard drive if it is running too efficiently.
