Many have expressed interest in a HBH gathering / convention. Im happy to host one down in my home town of brighton. However before i go and start organizing and putting plans into action. It will be during summer 2006 just for one day, morning - evening. Those requireing accomodation for the evening, i will organise cheap BnB places for you). However this whole event depends on how many go.

Heres what i have in mind:

- urban defacing
- free WiFi connection
- perhaps mini hacking compeitions within the group.
- Visual, audio and interactive lessons varying from basic - advanced skills.
- Speakers who will talk about and give demonstrations based on their area of expertiese.
- Chatting about computer / hacking related subjects.
- Pub in the evening (that provides wifi).

So please let me know if you will come. I need to know numbers before i start organising things.

You need to buy a ticket for the event, which costs £10 (this is to cover the high cost of hiring a place for the lessons/demonstrations to take place)

Date:Monday 24th July

So please post or PM me with your details:
- Age
- Where you'll be traveling from
- what you'll most be interested in
- Skill level
- will you be requiring accomodation
- will you be bringing a laptop *highly recommended*
- etc etc

If you wish to know where brighton is, click on this link:
http://tourism.brighton.co.uk/accommodation/hoteldet.asp?url=accommodation&Hotel=8&namesearch=&Hotel
Type=Hotels+with+rooms+for+%A320&a=1&b=1000&pricewanted=20

The offical event will last for one day, with all the computer related talks/lessons happening within that day.
How there will be a option for people to stay the night and then travel back the next day. Ofcourse im happy to meet up with those people and continue the socializing for the second day.

If people do live far away, or wish to stay at the pub later than 22:30 then accomodation can be found relitively cheap.
http://www.brighton-mh-hotel.co.uk <- £25 for one night. inc breakfast + tv+internet connection, etc etc

For more information on the night life in Brighton, click here:
http://tourism.brighton.co.uk/

--------------------

Day 2 = late start, recover from hangovers, urban defacement, socializing, day 2 ends in late afternoon (so mr_cheese can recover and get some sleep)

You will need money for this day:
- Food (estimated: £5+)

ok the dudes who are planning on comming from aboard.

Dont take it too serioulsy. This isnt going to be a big high tech computerised event. its just a small group of HBH members, meeting for the day, learning one or two new tricks, and socilising. with the emphesis focused on socialiszing.

so thinkb efore you go spending £40 to get to the UK.

having a video feed will probably not be a option.

judging from the amount of people who are planning on comming, this will be more of a social event than a big hacker / computer educational course.

Obvioulsy theres gonna be a few computer parts during the day. (providing a few people can bring laptops with them) But there wont be suffiecient computer content to make a video feed worth while.

Will still be a great day though, i've got a few things i could sort out etc.

But i only really want to do it if theres going to be minimum of 7+ hbh members who would deffinatly turn up.

So any more people that would deffinatly want to come? Also are people able to bring laptops with them?

the laptops will be for personal use and wont hae shared use if you dont want them to.

bringing a laptop will just allow you to follow the few lessons/talks easier and particiate in computer events we'll have running.

well i ask skill level, because if im gonna give a couple of lessons to the people who come. I dont want to give lessons on say..... rooting home servers via local exploits... if everyone who turns up has just started learning html the week before. and visa versa.
