So Ive spent the last few hours trying to get a faster boot time. Things included migrating to baselayout-2 and openrc as well as putting my rc services to run in parallel I finally got it under 20 sec.


I know there's more I can do, so post your times and changes.

Nice mosh. Yeah I should test it on my actual desktop as opposed to a slower laptop. Saddly enough though I dont get to enjoy my desktop as much as I would like, so its just running windows on it for simplicity.

Btw that chart is generated with bootchart [http://www.bootchart.org/] though probably available in most repositories.
